I'm trying to do this, but I don't quite get it. I can't activate it with a patch? Do I need to use a pirated version to get this to work with a dosbox instead of playing the Steam version? I have the same problem. I installed the "Ultimate Talkie Edition Project" but it says in the last step you have to "add the game as usual". But how do I tell steam to use the talkie edition? I really want the voice acting but the new graphics are atrocious HALP! Update: I got it working, so here's the solution if you are somehow slow, like me. From reading from this post and others I found I thought I could get this working running the game through steam. But I have already installed the talkie edition. Steam doesn't know it is there. When I start it in steam, the game just uses the standard version in which the voices stop as soon you use F10 to switch to classic graphics.

Don Carmolo: Thank you for your hint, but still I don't get it to run as you don't explain how to install the steam-version of MI to the scummVM. Can the both of you or onyone else try again to help me on? Are you playing in "Old School Mode" with the old graphics, or are you playing with the updated new graphics? If you are playing in "Old school mode" then there will be no voice overs. Press Select to play in the updated version.

If that does not work you should check the settings, and make sure that the voice volume is turned up. You could also try turning down the music and SFX volume, then increasing the volume on your TV to see if you can hear the voices. Otherwise the game could just be bugged.

I hope this helps. Yeah I messed with all the settings and no I'm not playing Classic mode. Still no dice, is it possible for my dl copy to that bugged?
