Baader steeltrack manual

I use my scope with 2 different coma correctors. One shifts original focus 35mm outward, and other one shifts original focus 15mm inward. To achieve focus with relative same drawtube position i need 50mm and move mirror but have only 30mm because of tube dimensions and need to lengthen optical path by additional 20mm.

For example Feathertouch focuser and old Steeltrack have risers available and some of us would appreciate the same thing here. Thanks in advance. We are sorry- such a product is not in our planning for forseeable time. Only our discontinued Classic Steeltrack NT focuser was able using the holes when disassembling the original Sky-Watcher focuser. Please notice our website for instructions how to mount the Diamond Steeltrack - as you can see there have to be new holes done to mount it.

Would it be possible to fit this to a Skywatcher PDS? Please note that the Steeltrack is designed for tubes with 20cm diameter or larger; for smaller tubes, you need additional spacers Hello, will this fit a 10inch Newtonian? This should fit. Very sorry - we do not supply the products with parts taken off. Maybe some dealers could help you on this, but our ERP will not provide the means.

Also CoVid is causing such a myriad of delays and personnel-constraints that we have no chance to manage this. Is there a unit suitable for a Celestron CPC 9. The CPC 9. Does the S58 dovetail mean that the steeltrack effectively has a rotator built in? I mean, if I use an S58 dovetail to M48 adapter for example to thread into my imaging train, I could then clamp it down onto the steeltrack in any chosen orientation of the camera?

Question by: Paul B. Yes, this is correct. The S58 dovetail features 6 x M2,5 headless setscrews. They can be loosened with the included 1. I want to mount this focuser on a flat wood square tube and need to determine the diameter of the hole to make and how much margin for error I have. It seems that I need a hole that is slightly larger than the draw tube, but most commercial scopes have a larger hole.

Also, I want to drill the proper holes for the bolts. Please advise. I need help choosing between and It depends on the telescope you're using. Is it possible to use this focuser with a Meade LX65 6"? Hi, can this focuser be installed on a Orion Vx6? Yes, this will work, but you need to drill some new holes in the OTA. You find the measurements a.

Can I install 2" clicklock on the focuser? Would tell me the part number? We consider it our duty and obligation, not only to sell telescopes, but an indivdually selected telescope system, that brings you a lifetime of joy.

However we cant answer this question for certain, since we don't sell this telescope and thus don't know the thread sizes, backfocus and so on. You could send us your scope and we would inspect it and check if we have a fitting adapter - if not we could produce one. Please send images of all measuring steps. There are a number of dealers that specialize in adapting our equipment onto telescope-brands that we ourselve do not carry in our own portfolio. Maybe please do a google search using the necessary keywords to find a dealer that sells these brands and can give you advise. I would like to change the focuser with your steeltrack RT, is it possible?

Wich kind of adapter is useful for? As you can see under "related products" we have a M88x1 and M93x1 adapter availabe. Will I need an adapter? Which adapter? Thank you, Bob. Unfortunately this wont work for the following reasons: 1. Question by: vland on Aug 26, PM 1 Answer s.

This is possible without modification of the Zeiss telescope. But you will need an special manufactured adaptor to attach the focuser to the Zeiss telescope. This adapter costs appx. I have a clicklock 54i that is the fitting Im looking for also for the focus adapter. So far we had no plans to produce such an adapter, you're the first to request this.

We will keep this in the "wishlist" but can't guarantee anything. Does the S58 dovetail mean that the steeltrack effectively has a rotator built in? Solar telescope Lunt 60 use a dovetail clamp of 78mm for the focuser. I saw some people using the old NT model directly but the new one has a bigger diameter..

Unfortunately this will not work as the backfocus of this instrument is not sufficient. I installed the Steeldrive II and the controller on one of my scopes. Works perfectly, thanks! You mention that he focusing motor will be sold separately. Is that already possible?

I want to install the second motor on another telescope. Glad to hear you are satisfied with the motor focuser! Yes, separate motor units are available, we will contact you via email. The aux output for a dew heater is stated at up to 10w. If I attached a slightly higher rated dew strip for example 15w to that output, would it be able to operate safely albeit limited to a maximum of 10w of power or would there be a risk of damaging the controller?

The AUX power output is fused. The controller would not be damaged beyond repair, but the fuse would have to be replaced. This would probably have to be done at our company as it is a small SMD part. The keypad is easy to find in the dark thanks to the dimmable keypad, but also in a tactile way. You can feel the buttons with your fingertips. One big advantage is that the controller does not lose position when it gets unplugged power or USB. In combination with the brackets the controller perfectly fits on the scope.

Wiring can be made easily. The usage is intuitively and even visitors who have never operated such a device come to terms with it in seconds. Many thanks. Question by: Peter B. Normally we would recommend the SC version. But we cannot find an information with thread is on the rear end of the telescope. Please inquire from Orion or an Orion dealer.

Can I confirm that the focuser can be easily rotated to frame a desired field of view? The "specifications" section indicates that it is rotatable, but I see nothing in the instruction manual to indicate how this is achieved. It is possible to rotate the focuser, but its meant to set it one time after mounting onto the tube. It is not meant to do that numerous times. Though it is much easier to rotate the camera with a 2" nose piece even up to full format camera with wide T-ring and S52 barrel What screws on the steeltrack sc focuser allow for the adjustment of rotation of the focuser after installation.

Are these the screws marked as number 3 on the instruction manual. Thank you. Yes, the black plastic screws are used to set the orientation of the focuser. You can also replace one of these six M5-screws with a knurled-head screw to rotate the focuser easier. We do not have the technical data of all telescopes, so you should have to check the manual of your telescope or contact the manufacturer to be sure.

The Mak seems to have only a Tthread and a clear aperture of 1,25" , so a 2"-focuser may be a bit over-sized. Please check the manual und Downloads for the dimensions the the steeltrack, to see if you get problems with the focussing knob of your telescope.

You can still use the main mirror focuser of your telescope when the SteelTrack is installed. Do you have adapters for Takahashi Mewlon or CN? Thanks in advance.

Into this, you could screw the male Mthread of the RT Steeltrack. If this setup is too long, we do have the Ultrashort Clamp - which of course is no focuser. Unfortunately, we do not know which thread is used on the CN BDS-SC: all views. Instruction manuals.
