Review of callaway razr tour driver

Drivers in golf club sets are simple models because these sets are aimed at high-handicap golfers. Golfers typically purchase highly priced drivers from Callaway separately and add them to an existing set of clubs.

Will buying an expensive Callaway driver improve my game? Perhaps, but keep in mind that some of the features of a Callaway driver are for experienced players only. Updated September The stiff was supposedly rated to mph which is only slightly lower than my swing speed. However I found that when i reached back for a few extra yards it always produced a horrible slice. Troy Vayanos. I just bought the Razr Fit driver last week and had my first couple of games with it.

Feels great over the ball and the head is not too large compared to others on the market today. Still experimenting with the weights to find out what is right for me. So far though I really love this driver. Hitting more farways and about 20 yards futher.

I like the sound at impact. It does not seem like it is going to go futher but it just keeps going. The different adjustments make a huge difference also. I am hooked it is the best driver I have ever hit.

Basically, just want to know from people who have the razr fit driver and have swing speed of around if it Flies further than your previous drivers and what shafts you have in it? I too had the Nike machspeed srt8 driver. I have a natural draw and tend to hit a hook. Changed the face to open and was hitting straight shots with light draw. Plus I use pro v1x and with that ball it just flys off the face.

Plus I added to the wight. I put some zinc washers in the top wight. Went to range and wow straight as an arrow. Hope this helped. John the revue was very informative — but you failed to mention the 3rd shaft option that you ended up going with — please let me know what it was and what it did to your ball flight — cheers.

I purchased this driver and it came with 6 and 2 weights. I am really having trouble with my drives going to the right now. What adjustments can I make? More weight on the toe? Change the face? I have it on open. I have the Every shot is going right. What the heck am I doing wrong? I ended up with Razr tour and the project x stiff. Just cannot get Aldiss shafts to perform for me.

The fairway and not punching out for the trees. I too switched from a Taylor Superfast and I am not sorry. This club has given me 27 more yards consistently. Now if they developed a razr putter hmm. In store I hit it fine, but on course it went right and farther right.

Could not get comfortable with either one. Finally I hit the Razr Fit in all varieties. My swing speed was about 95 mph. For me the best fit was a Hit it in store with some draw light weight in the toe. On Saturday I played 18 and hit the ball new Callaway Black about with a little draw. I hit 12 fairways.

I need to dial it in a bit, but the club worked very well for me. Play twice a week. Nice review. I originally purchased the r11s the week it came out. As my 90th day was fast approaching, I figured I did my self a dis-service by just assuming TMade was the best.

This alone made me want the club, but the pure distance increase was ridiculous. My buddy 5 handi was with me. Hitting the r11s on the screws, carry, probably roll out at the range there was a hill and on the hill was a flag. The r11s made it over the hill maybe 4 times in my 20 shots. The carry was at least 10 more yards.

I know. My friend was freaking out that the r11s was so weak compared to this. Needless to say, I switched. I play weekly.

Live in Orange County, CA…hope this helps. This is the absolute best driver ever made. The off center hits are very forgiving and the ball keeps flying decently.

Even if you have a lousy swing such as I do. When you connect, it just screams. The forgiveness is not amazing, but it is also not bad by any stretch. Just unreal. That's readily available through Callaway Golf as well, as they did the re-shaft for me. Hi Golfware I'll look into that shaft I fell in love with the driver immediately.

My fitter has almost everything from here as well as Japan, but he is having trouble getting demo heads shortage on Callaway's part? I called Callaway Customer Service and they recommended the shaft based upon my information and stats.

They were awesome. Just awesome. I was leary at first, but after having put it into play, it's the freakin' real deal Holyfield. Thanks for the comments and discussion, all. I too am interested to hear what combinations work out best for people with this head. As has been mentioned, Callaway has some really good shafts to choose from, as long as you can drop the coin. It's great to hear that Callaway was so helpful with the fitting and provided an option that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Thanks, golfware! I was feeling particularly clever right then. As for the I ordered this driver at 45", and I think the spec sheet lists the swingweight as D? Can't recall.

Might be you want to call up Callaway's customer service department? I'm sure they'd rather help you than lose your business. Danke, Todd. The aforementioned love child is a figment of my creativity.

I originally spoke of a union between Barry White and Neil Patrick Harris, but that hit a little too close to home. I would jump in a closet to come back out for NPH. He's dreamy. Thank you, Rob! I tried to avoid reviews of this driver before writing my own so as to keep mine clean of other folks' impressions, but I kind of make it a point to read yours. Great combination of information and flippant humor. Makes for a good read, always. Have no need to work the ball off the tee..

Fingers Crossed, it is what I'm hoping for. Definitely more shaft than I can handle, but if it fits your profile half as much as the Kai'li does mine, I can't imagine you'll be disappointed! I honestly don't know how i never owned the FT tour since the voodoo is basically my favorite shaft, and i crushed an FT9 tour for over a year. Why do i have these stupid house payments??? I recently purchased this driver after a fitting with the Callaway tour fit van. The Callaway guys were extremely helpful.

Dan, who fit me, told me he travels with the van all year and fits the pros. According to the trackman, with a mph swing, my launch was The ball flight was high and flat. Despite the open face, it was easy to turn the ball over. The club felt great. I also bought a new set of razr x forged irons. As I am sure many of you hos can appreciate, Dan had me at hello. I highly recommend this driver. I hope my fitting experience helps you pick your set up. I've got an 8. The perfect combo perhaps?

We shall see Razr Fit 8. I'm a Fujikura fan going far back, but am extremely impressed with Mitsubishi's shafts lately. Good luck with your new driver, as well as whatever urinary incontinence issues you might have. Irishman Rowan McCarthy may be the only golfer in the world to have had a hole-in-one and an albatross in the same round!
