Thanks for your feedback. I could not find the drivers specific to my headset on the HP website you provided. I have also double checked to make sure that my Bluetooth hardware drivers are updated, which they are.

I took a look at the thread. The only promising lead in that discussion brought me to drivers that are not fit for my configuration. On the other hand I noticed a point made in that thread that says the Bluetooth headset works with Windows XP.

The case may be that I don't have the most recent version of the Bluetooth software I am not talking about Bluetooth drivers. Seems to me that locating the Bluetooth drivers for this specific device is essential to this problem. The troubleshooting software detected the problem with the missing drivers but it was unable to find the drivers or in other words, fix the problem.
