Pdf visio files

We have seen PDF files that contain hundreds of thousands of objects. These are not the norm and require a very capable system as well as a lot of patience when ungrouping.

Regular success is high with less than 50, objects but when the count is much higher, it can hit a wall. The exceptions are CAD drawings with layers. Visio has special options for converting CAD objects and they may be useful for your files. If you try using PDF in Visio but are not getting the results you expect, ask us to troubleshoot it for you.

When you're viewing a Visio drawing, Download as Image and Download as PDF are also available on the three-dot Show more commands menu at the top of the window.

Download as Image saves the current page at Medium resolution pixels per inch and without a transparent background. Download as PDF saves a file containing every page in the current drawing file. In the dialog box, navigate to the folder where you want to save the file, and then select Save. Save a Visio diagram as a graphic or image file.

Click Save As. Select Options to determine which page or pages to include in the PDF file. The PDF will conform to the page layout in the Visio file. It is not designed for scanned drawings which contain raster images.
